The Denver Broncos selected Paxton Lynch in the first round of this season’s draft. But, this is one of the rare years in recent history during which rookie quarterbacks will not be starting for each team that selected one early.
So, this left Trevor Siemian, a former seventh-round pick with virtually no experience, and Mark Sanchez, a former first-round pick and one of the biggest draft busts at quarterback in recent years.
Siemian has officially won the starting job, according to reports today.
It seems either one of these guys is essentially holding down the fort before Lynch can take over, so now the storyline will shift to seeing how long it’ll be before that happens.
